This is an exciting time at JBLM because as spring progresses, we start receiving a massive number of new families to the Joint Base.  Of course, we have to say goodbye to friends whose time to leave is now as well (which is the sad part).

Each month, newcomers are welcomed to the base at the end of the month Newcomers Meeting.  We are there every month handing out information and materials to those arriving - we focus on helping them adjust to the area by providing them news and merchant materials designed to get them familiarized to their new home away from home.

But, during this time of the year (through September), we'll see a bigger influx of new folks because this is the time of the year most families make the move.  It's exciting to meet new people, and it is always a great time of the year.
